SUMMARY:Art as a Response to Trauma
DESCRIPTION:Join docents and supporters of DVIP/RVAP to tour works of art that transcend the direct experience of trauma. Following the tour\, DVIP/RVAP invites you to join them for refreshments and a panel discussion exploring how advocates use art to support victim-survivors in their healing process and how you can help! \nThere is no fee to participate\, but all funds pledged during the event will be matched up to $30\,000 in thanks to a generous donation from our longtime supporters Mark Ruggeberg and Bob Brooks. \nRegistration is required as space is limited! Register at the attached ticket link. \nIndividuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa-sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program\, please contact the Stanley Museum of Art at (319) 335-1727
