Shop for Shelter is the Domestic Violence Intervention Program’s largest in-kind donation drive of the year. DVIP volunteers are stationed at all HyVee and Fareway stores in Johnson County to hand out shopping lists and encourage shoppers to purchase needed items for our emergency shelter. Each year, this event fills our shelter pantry for the next 10 months and all donations go directly to vicitm-survivors. Shopping List items include: gift cards, diapers (sizes 4-6), infant formula, peanut butter, jelly, shells & cheese, toilet paper, cereal, kid’s snack foods (shelf stable), and cooking oil.
