On August 31st from 5-7pm at Big Grove – Iowa City, the Domestic Violence Intervention Program is hosting a fundraiser in celebration of the public phase launch of the capital campaign for the new shelter building. The new facility will provide a safe and secure space for victim-survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, and human trafficking. The new shelter will double the capacity of our current facility. DVIP’s emergency shelter is full 365 days a year and has been every day since our first shelter opened in 1979.
