Join Domestic Violence Intervention Program staff, board members, survivors, and supporters for an intimate evening with activist and educator, Sarah Super, as we explore how we can support survivors of intimate partner abuse within our community, break the cycles of silence and shame and create a space for healing. With one in four women and one in six men being affected by intimate partner violence in their lifetime, it is vital that the crisis services provided by DVIP have the financial support of the communities they serve.
Sarah Super is a rape and assault survivor, training consultant, and activist. She founded Break the Silence to give survivors of sexual violence an invitation and platform to speak their names and tell their stories if they wanted. Sarah received her M.Ed. in Human Resource Development and a dual B.A. magna cum laude in Sociology and American Studies from the University of Minnesota. You can learn more about Sarah and Break the Silence at sarahsuper.com
DVIP looks forward to coming together on Giving Tuesday to connect with our community of supporters over drinks and hor ‘d oeuvres.
