Emergency Shelter

In 2024, DVIP & RVAP opened a new emergency shelter in Johnson County, designed to serve persons affected by domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking across our 8-county service region. This state-of-the-art facility provided a safe and secure space for those experiencing domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, and human trafficking.

The shelter features private suites for families, communal spaces, and a variety of resources tailored to meet the unique needs of victim-survivors seeking refuge.

Housing Advocacy

DVIP & RVAP’s housing staff will work with you to address barriers to obtaining or maintaining safe, affordable, and permanent housing. Housing support includes help with locating and completing housing applications, transportation, and referrals in obtaining financial assistance.
